5:01 pm - bedroom experience.
i've been sleeping in bedrooms my entire life, almost every night. in a wide variety of beds, with different style sheets, various types of pillows (some thin and malleable, others thick and firm), and all manner of coverings. some nights i use a comforter, some nights a knit blankie, some nights a plain, thin sheet, and other nights i go without.

i've slept on flannel sheets, silk sheets, 400-thread-count sheets, white sheets, red sheets, star wars sheets, sheets with snorks on them, sheets with delicate leaf patterns. i've slept under fleece throws adorned with sledding bears and penguins, christmas trees and twinkling stars; all kinds of bedding, really, from the prosaic to the fantastical. occasionally the beds i sleep in even have frilly shams, and i refuse to be ashamed of that.

i've slept in bunk beds, twin beds, twin beds pushed together (enabling one to sleep sideways across the divide), full-size beds, queen beds, round beds, water beds, beds that vibrate, beds that hover six feet off the ground, beds that float through the starry night on clouds of pixie dust and the warm breath of angels.

so when it comes to bedroom experience, i'd say that mine can't be beat.

current mood: nature's promise lemon tea.
current music: a distant guffaw and the sound of clacking keys.

5:15 pm - craigslist.
frustration with craigslist apartment searching and endless spam boils over into... more, but funnier, spam:

$700 no bedrooms! parking in bathroom. pets included. unbearable price!!! (boston)

(i'm guessing this ad won't be up for very long.)

in other news, i really want to try this soup:

west african peanut soup with chicken (plus sweet potatoes, cayenne, ginger, kale, and best of all, peanut butter!)

current mood: work and non-work.
current music: paper shuffling.
